RULES FOR VISITING CANADA, DRIVE OR ARRIVE BY TRAIN, BUS OR BOAT AS A U.S. PERMANENT RESIDENT THAT OBTAINED SUCH STATUS THROUGH ASYLUM

Most people will need either a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada - but not both.  If you are a U.S. Permanent Resident commonly referred to as a green card holder, and you obtained such status through asylum, You don't need a visa or an eTA to travel to Canada when you drive, arrive by train, bus or boat.  You don't need a visa or an eTA.
