QUALIFICATION FOR STIMULUS PAYMENTS (PERMANENT RESIDENT THROUGH ASYLUM, ASYLEES & ASYLUM SEEKERS) | EAD APPLICATION DURING THE OUTBREAK

The economic disaster caused by the CoronaVirus Pandemic is severe and crippling as a result, Congress has passed a $2.2 trillion aid package here in the United States of America.  To qualify for the payment, you must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (commonly referred to as a Green Card holder) . Others who legally reside in the United States such as asylees and asylum seekers , may also be eligible for the payment, as long as they are not "non-resident aliens, by the IRS, Internal Revenue Service. If you do qualify, you should not have to do anything to receive the payment, it should be credited to your account or mail directly to you.  This is a reminder that the payment is dependent on your income levels as indicated in the Washington Post:  Individuals with adjusted gross incomes up to $75,000 a year will be eligible for the full $1,200.00 cheque.
